Mark Lucyk, Ph.D., received his B.A. degree in
psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in
clinical psychology from Temple University. He began treating patients
in 1979, much of this work involving long-term intensive psychotherapy.
After completing his training at the Institute of Living he worked
there as a Staff Psychologist until 1990. Since that time he has
been in full-time private practice working with adults, adolescents
and children. Much of his work has involved helping individuals
and families deal with the emotional effects of the various phases
of divorce. This influenced his decision to be trained as a divorce
mediator in 1995 and his subsequent collaboration with Attorney
Kathleen Martin. Dr. Lucyk also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor
in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut.
