Ms. Martin is the founder of Connecticut Family Mediation, LLC with an office in Avon and has co-mediated with Dr. Mark Lucyk, a clinical psychologist, since receiving her training as a mediator in 1995.

She Is a member of the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation, Association for Conflict Resolution, the Family Law Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and the Family Law Committee of the Hartford County Bar Association. Ms. Martin is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Western New England School of Law and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and in the U. S. District Court for Connecticut.

Mark Lucyk, Ph.D., received his B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Temple University. He began treating patients in 1979, much of this work involving long-term intensive psychotherapy. After completing his training at the Institute of Living he worked there as a Staff Psychologist until 1990. Since that time he has been in full-time private practice working with adults, adolescents and children. Much of his work has involved helping individuals and families deal with the emotional effects of the various phases of divorce. This influenced his decision to be trained as a divorce mediator in 1995 and his subsequent collaboration with Attorney Kathleen Martin. Dr. Lucyk also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut.
